Matt Rintoul

Previously on My52 I had profiled Lee Dale, the co-founder of the design agency Say Yeah. I can’t finish the series without profiling his co-founder Matt Rintoul.

Matt is one of most adept development designers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He bridges the two worlds of programming and visual design better than most, being able to code as well as implement designs with an impeccable attention to detail.

I like to think I have an eye for good design but knowing how to get to that point is a skill that eludes me. This is where Matt’s super powers come to bear. He’s an indispensable member of the team who cares about the quality of the customer experience in software.

I enjoy working with Matt because not only can he suggest details in a design implementation that elevate the experience but he’s able to lend a hand implementing the software if necessary. Typically excellent boutique agencies specialize in design and usability. Stretching yourself too thin across the stack can become challenging when scaling up an agency. They don’t always have the same attention to detail when it comes to implementing the design as it requires a much larger team. Matt’s talents span the divide between the two disciplines.

I’m thoroughly impressed by Matt’s work and it is always a pleasure working wth him on projects. It’s why he’s on My52.
