As I’ve mentioned before in this series, it’s important to keep in regular contact with your peers.

When I was at TorStar Digital there was a regular management group that I would touch base with which included Vikram. Vik and I would be sure to have a lunch at least once a month at a local restaurant and catch up over our regular meal of Bibimbap.

Vik is thoughtful. He doesn’t rush to have his voice heard in the conversation but takes his time to listen. He carefully considers the challenge and offers the options that others have overlooked. He reminds me that asking the right question is often better than having the right answer. It leads to better conversations and it leads to better outcomes.

Vik is also someone you can rely on. There were many nights I would head home and still see Vik grinding away on research or working through pages of spreadsheets. He ensured the work would get done and be thorough.

Since our days at WagJag Vik has transitioned to the field of health technology. He currently leads the team at Dr. Bill streamlining the process of medical billing, applying the same level of thought and care I’ve come to know. It’s why he’s on My 52.
