Martin Kuplens-Ewart

I’m not sure I’ve met a more well rounded and unpredictable person as Martin. His talents, hobbies and side projects through our tenure at Radiant Core and Zerofootprint always surprised me and I continue to be impressed by his talents to this day.

While working with Martin I enjoyed being regaled of tales growing up in Britain and Germany. Martin liked to remind us that “old” buildings in Canada were hundreds of years younger than the school he was educated at in Germany. His humour with heavy British influences was always much smarter than the jokes I could think of. He reminded me of the fight for equality and the reward of volunteerism through his work on security for many years at the Toronto Pride Parade.

Martin works hard to continually improve his product and design skills. He constantly researches and improves his techniques. I’m grateful he was diplomatic but not shy with honestly on our approaches in various projects.

After the agency’s acquisition, Martin eventually departed ZeroFootprint and I watched him continue to produce work with an excellent attention to detail such as the SickKids website. I was honoured to attend his wedding to Stephanie in 2015 and continue to be impressed by the advances he makes in his career and the memories he is creating with his family.
